non lethal ghost bonus
Since we are playing a fairly social campaign I was wondering whether and how do we get xp for deliberately avoiding combat or taking out enemies non lethally or scaring enemies intro running or convincing them not to fight and so on. Basically do we get xp for avoiding combat or are we encouraged to seek out enemies to fight?

Absolutley! You do get xp for non-lethal ways of handling situations. For example, you could have killed the hooded guys in the cave/hideout but you didn't and I rewarded you for it. Also, for avoiding traps, etc...

Cool! i didn't see it in the xp list.

How do you handle situations where we can take additional/tangential steps to get more xp through kills? Like in the last session we killed shit loads of those skeletons even though we already faund the true door, just because we wanted xp. On one hand we did get to practice on those skeletons, on another we would have completed our objective just the same if we would stop opening doors once we discovered the right one.

Re: non lethal ghost bonus
There was always a possibility of you not finding the door for a while and killing most of the skeletons, which yields xp. So, if you are in a dungeon and you decide to kill all the creatures there then you'll get the xp but if you just say, lets go to the woods and start killing deer for xp in hope of leveling up, then you won't really get any.
The kills sort of need to matter somehow.
Does that answer your question?

Re: non lethal ghost bonus
here goes our entire deer hunting strategy, i guess well have to hunt elks instead.
going back to the 4 stone creatures. If we would find a way to get past them without fighting or even without them noticing us(but still passing the room, lets say through mass invisibility or something), would we get the same xp?

Yup! There were vases all over that room which, if you would have broken, would have disabled them and you would have gotten the xp for them just the same.

Yes, indeed! LOL That's what makes things interesting. I am glad you found it surprising. I was hoping for that sort of reaction. I wanted to throw in a good mix of things to keep you guys on your toes.

Thanks man! That really means a lot. I know that's a saying in the US but I truly mean that. I wasn't sure what to expect, or if you guys would like my ideas that I found interesting, but hearing the feedback from you guys definitely makes donning the DM role worth it. So, thank you guys!
